Following a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) degree, Silvana completed a Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology and then a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne.  She is a fellow of the Australian Psychological Society’s College of Clinical Neuropsychologists.

Silvana has over 20 years experience as a Clinical Neuropsychologist, working across a range of settings, including trauma rehabilitation, paediatric oncology, and in acute medical contexts.  She has been in private practice since 2000.  

Silvana is a responsive and sensitive clinician.  She has a passion for helping children and families navigate the various challenges they may be facing.  By taking a ‘whole person’ approach, she integrates the cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and psychosocial aspects of a child’s presentation, to derive an in-depth knowledge of the issues at hand and to formulate a way forward. She has experience working with young people who present with a broad range of conditions, including those with complex care needs.    

Alongside her private practice, Silvana has worked as a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at Austin Health since 2001, where she continues to work primarily with children who have epilepsy. 

In her spare time, Silvana loves spending time with her husband and their three children. She also enjoys reading, and she is a keen runner.
